What Are You Telling Them?

What are we telling our children? And what were we told?

Are we telling them the importance of education?
Are we telling them how great they are?
Are we telling them about finances?
Are we telling them what to expect through out stages of life, giving them things to look forward to?
Are we telling them about goal setting?
Are we telling them about the importance of communication?

There are several forms of communication and children get most of their comportment from what they see at home. So what are they going to take from what they see at home, when they take it into the world, will it benefit them?

What's Your View

If someone ask to give a positive assessment of yourself what would the results be, and with careful thought how can you use these attributes as a fulcrum to taking yourself to a higher level in your life?

This is simple but yet powerful, have you really analyzed the positives of yourself and how you can use them to your benefit and the benefit of others?

WHO ARE YOU!!

This was the chant at the NY Giants parade on February 6 2008 in lower Manhattan, as the floats passed by with the great players who won the Superbowl, the fans all cheered loudly for the players, and it was well deserved. But as certain floats passed by with the Executives of the team on board, the chant from the crowd was "Who Are You!! Who Are You!!", and all the Executives with their Suites and Ties did was smile and continue to wave and go on the route. Now I thought to myself, their mindset must be "Who Am I?, I really dont care if you know me or not, just know that if we are paying these players the salaries they earn what do you think I'm making? LOL Who am I?

I've heard a certain entertainer say, "I can make you famous or I can make you rich, which do you prefer?".

Sure you can make the argument and say the fame is more fullfilling, having people go crazy when they see you, the recognition of the public, then this all falls into play with, what is more important to you?

Complancency

Complancency - Self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies.

How many of us are guilty of this in some aspect of our life? You know the comforts: job, bills are being paid, health insurance all is right with the world, or is it?

Have goals been set that haven't been accomplished yet, are actions in place to at least put you in the vicinity of that goal or has complacency in your current situation taken over?

Today On T.O.P.S

Growing up, did you know what your parents did for a living? You may not think this is important but it is. Can you take anything away from what you do that can be a productive life lesson for your children? Remember, children emulate what they see, positive or negative, this is why parents need to give them direction and constant insight into the positives of life, and directions they can go. We have to give them a legacy, something that will benefit them as they navigate through life, be it spiritual, financial or physical. With that being said are we focusing so much on setting up a living legacy for our children that we lose site on the fact that they need information now, because if they dont learn certain things now, that legacy that you've worked so hard to build can dissipate when turned over into their hands.

You Can Be Someone!!

How many times have parents, teachers, judges, grandparents and other influential people in a childs life told them this? Problem is, who can they be? It's like asking for directions to NY and your leaving from CA and someone just points and says "go that way"
